A few years ago I found myself 40 pounds overweight after taking a mini–okay, 3-year–vacation from the active lifestyle I’d enjoyed in my teens and early twenties.  As a new mom, I could assign some of the responsibility of that unwanted poundage to the miracle of childbirth, but the fact of the matter was that most of those pounds were present long before the plus sign appeared on that first pee-soaked stick.  The baby weight, however, only added to the issue.  So… I laced up my sneakers and never looked back.

I have a fascination (some might call it an obsession) with reading about running, training, and all things fitness. In the quest to become a better runner and continue to fit into those unforgiving race tights, I’m always game to try a new training plan or exercise regimen.  These are my adventures.
